In class we were learning about matariki and on goggle drawing this is what we did.
How Tane Mahuta is linked to matariki?
It is because the children of earth mother Papatuanuku and sky father Ranginui were divided over weather to separate them and bring light and life to earth then Tane Mahuta the god of the forest laid on his back and used his feet to force them apart.
